---- — Amanda Lea Kane, 34, of Washington, passed away Wednesday evening at Daviess Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 1, 1979, in Washington, she was the daughter of Timmie Lett and Deborah (Fox) Hill.
A 1997 graduate of Washington High School, she also received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Southern Indiana and a registered nursing degree from Vincennes University. She was a nurse at Daviess Community Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her daughter participate in events, reading and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Eric J. Kane, whom she married June 1, 2002; two daughters, Ashlyn E. Kane and Kaleigh A. Kane; parents, Tim Lett (Debbie Joyce), and Deborah Hill (Paul); siblings, Devin and Gavin Lett, Rick (Karen) and Ryan (Emily) Hill; grandfather, Robert E. Fox (Irene); brother-in-law, Jared (Bethany) Kane; mother- and father-in-law, Tom and Karen Kane; several aunts and uncles.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Lett; grandmother, Beverly S. Belcher; and grandparents, Tom and Betty Lett.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Christian Church, with Matt Merrold officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church and after 10 a.m Saturday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Daviess County Relay for Life.
