WASHINGTON — Beverly Sue Belcher, 78, of Washington, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday. She was born in Washington to the late Virgil and Margaret Hochgesang. Beverly was employed by Sears as a catalog manager for many years. She was an active member of Bethany Christian Church. Beverly’s greatest joy was her family and homemaking. She enjoyed quilting, needle work, gardening, crossword puzzles, and reading. Beverly was also a former Red Hat member in Yuma, Ariz. Survivors include her husband, Everett D. Belcher Jr.; two daughters, Deborah Hill (Paul), Shari Gray (David); two sons, Gary Fox (Rhonda), Michael Fox (Stacey); grandchildren, Amanda Kane (Eric), Jarrod Gray, Audra Deckard (Kyle), Melinda Littell (Craig), Derek Fox (Heather), Christopher Fox; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Hochgesang (Cindy). Beverly was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Lett; and two brothers, Gerald and Larry Hochgesang. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gill Funeral Home. A funeral will follow on Tuesday at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Church or to Helping Hearts Hospice.
