Roger Miller

LINTON — Roger L. Miller, 67, passed away Saturday, at his residence. He was born in Washington June 3, 1946, to John Eugene and Georgia (Whitman) Miller. Roger married Ruth Ann Carrico on Sept. 7, 1968.

Roger served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was employed as a truck driver for Elmer Buchta Trucking and retired in 2006. He was a member of the Frank Courtney American Legion Post No. 22 and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Miller; son Roger (Sherrie) Miller Jr. of Bloomfield; daughters, Rachella Clinedinst (Jesse Ross) and Megan Miller, both of Linton; grandchildren: Mylaka (Clinedinst) Simmons, Michael Waskom, Kerri Waskom, Hope Dearing, and Dalton Miller; one great-grandchild, Gabriele Green; and a brother, Phillip Miller of Montgomery.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 11 a.m., with Chaplain Ken Coffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Linton Fairview Cemetery, with military graveside rites provided by the Frank Courtney American Legion Post No. 22.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday.
