Elizabeth S. Shaddock

WOODSTOCK, Vt. — Elizabeth S. Shaddock passed away peacefully in her home on Oct. 26.

Elizabeth was born in Glen Ridge, N.J., where she grew up and attended Ridgewood High School. She also received an associate’s degree from the Julliard School of Music and Dance.

Her employment history included working as a secretary for US Rubber Co. in New York City. She also worked for the dean of Harvard Law School as well as Washington Township schools in Indiana, specifically North Central High School.

Her most recent career was as a Christian Science Journal listed nurse working at Christian Science nursing facilities as well as private duty nursing.

During her life she lived in Ridgewood; New Jersey; New York City, N. Y.; Boston, Mass.; Indianapolis; and Woodstock, Vt. She was a lifelong Christian Scientist and belonged to various branch churches, most recently the First Church of Christ Scientist in Woodstock. She dearly loved her family, friends, the Jersey shore, her dogs, dance and music.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her sister Alysse (Pud) Stanley. She is survived by daughter Holly Zarazinski, son-in-law Eric, and three grandsons: Ben, Andrew and Ian who reside in Virginia. She is also survived by daughter Willow Shaddock of Indiana, as well as Elizabeth’s former husband George W. Shaddock of Connecticut. She also leaves behind her friend, Faith Wishart of Woodstock.

All arrangements are made by The Cabot Funeral Home. At her request there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Church of Christ Scientist, 71 River St., Woodstock, VT 05091; Lucy MacKenzie Humane Society, Box 702, Brownsville, VT 05037; or the Woodstock Food Shelf.
