---- — LOOGOOTEE — Joseph P. Kemp, 80, died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

Born Oct. 31, 1932, in Daviess County, he was the son of Peter and Mary (Richer) Kemp.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph Jr. and wife Cheryl Kemp and Leroy and wife Darla Kemp, all of Loogootee; five daughters, Keturah and husband Lloyd Raber, Mary Catherine and husband Glen Knepp, Fannie Mae and husband Jay Knepp, Dinah and husband Delbert Graber, all of Montgomery, and Dorothy and husband Mark Knepp of Loogootee; four brothers, Amos and wife Delilah Kemp, John Henry and wife Ida Mae Kemp, Darrell and wife Marilyn Kemp, all of Loogootee, and Raymond and wife Catherine Kemp of Montgomery; four sisters, Lydia Ann and husband Richard Wittmer, Katie and husband Alva Yoder, all of Loogootee, Wilma and husband Ira Wagler of Montgomery, and Mary Margaret and husband Sam Wagler of Odon; 37 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

His wife, Barbara (Stoll) Kemp, is deceased as well as his parents, one son, Larry Kemp, and two brothers, Peter and Leroy Kemp.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Produce Building in Montgomery. Burial will be in Stoll Cemetery in Montgomery.

Visitation is until the hour of service Wednesday at the Produce Building.

Arrangements are being made through Brocksmith-Blake and Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery.
