---- — Lois P. Dyer, 78, of Washington, died at 2:44 a.m. Thursday at Hillside Manor Nursing Center.
Born July 19, 1935, in Champaign County, Ill., she was the daughter of Virgil and Lola (Reynolds) McCracken.
She had worked at Armour Packing for 16 years and Perdue for six years. She was a member of Veale Creek Baptist Church and Washington V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Frank) Smith of Montgomery, Annette (Gary) Potts of Loogootee, and Karen McAtee of Washington; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul McCracken Jr. of Washington; and a sister, Joyce Evans of Washington.
Her husband, Cletus Dale Dyer, whom she married July 23, 1955, died July 3, 2001.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Bro. Matt Huffman officiating. Burial will be in New Veale Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
