Donald Shake

---- — LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Donald R. Shake, 86, formerly of Washington, died at 11:55 a.m. Friday in Louisville.

Born Feb. 24, 1927, in Daviess County, he was the son of James M. and Ozie (Fair) Shake.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked as a press operator at Jasper Rubber Products for 15 years. He was a member of Central Christian Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Sharon Farris of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Nancy Jo Shake of Indianapolis, Donna Shake of Corydon, and Terri Riensheld of Brandenburg, Ky.; a son, Mark Steve Shake of English; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

His wife, Eva L. Shake, whom he married April 11, 1968, died in 2011. His parents and one son, James Alvin Shake, are also deceased.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Scott Shake and Jarren Winebarger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
