BORDEN — Onna L. (Epley) James, 49, formerly of Winslow, passed away at 1:37 a.m. Monday at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Born June 17, 1964, in Evansville, she was the daughter of Richard H. Sr. and Mary Jane (Moore) Epley.

She graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelor’s degree in education. She had worked for Humana Insurance Company, Abby Press and K-Mart.

She loved spending time with her step-grandchildren and her chihuahuas.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Shannon Cox of Rockport and Pam Sweeney of New Albany; stepgrandchildren Zach James, Nathan Cox, Dillon Cox and Diamond Cox; her father, Richard H. Epley Sr. of Washington; a twin sister, Anna (Dennis) Arnholt of Pekin; and one brother, Richard H. (Linda) Epley Jr. of Washington.

Her husband, Robert E. James, whom she married May 30, 1997, died Dec. 30, 2013. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Epley; her stepmother, Doris Epley; one brothers, Russell Epley; two half brothers, Everett Eugene Epley and Ronny Gene Epley; and a stepbrother, Gregory A. Tevault.

The funeral will be at noon Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Tamara Recod officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery at Petersburg.
