Gerald Hayden, 76, passed away Thursday.
Gerald Lee Hayden was born Sept. 26, 1937, in Sullivan, to Ernest and Bernice Hayden. He was a retired railroad conductor and U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was also a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. Gerald was a 1955 graduate of Freelandville High School.
Gerald was married on July 7, 1979, to Donna Etoll. He had one brother, John Hayden, and one sister, Judy Tomey. He was survived by one daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Joe Centeno of Rockford, Illinois, and two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Paul Ennor of Salem, and Susan and Robert Douglas of Indianapolis. Gerald had six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one great-stepgrandchildren.
Gerald is preceded in death by Wanda Faye Talor; his parents, Ernest and Bernice Hayden; and one son, Richard Allen Hayden.
The visitation will be held at Gill Funeral Home, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Sugarland Memory Gardens in Washington.
