Marjorie Ann (Moore) Carrico, 62, Washington, passed away Thursday at her home.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1951 in Washington to Russell Tullis Moore and Norma Jean Moore. She graduated in 1969 from Barr-Reeve High School and also graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Marjorie retired from the Washington Community School Corporation in 2013.
She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Ladies of the Moose, Washington Eagles, Indiana State Teachers Association, and Indiana Bow Hunters.
She enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family and friends as well as others.
She is survived by one daughter, Alicia (Chris) Riester of Washington; one son, James Carrico, Jr.; her mother Norma Jean Moore of Washington; four grandhcildren, Calob James Carrico, Haven Grace Carrico, Caitlyn Marie Riester, and Logan Christopher Riester; one sister, Claudia (Kim) Murray of Washington; two brothers, Dwight (Bonnie) Moore of Washington, and Chuck (Nerrisa) Moore of Rising Sun, and special friend Jerry Johnson.
Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. A wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m.
A funeral service with liturgy of the word will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Deacon Dennis Hildebrand officiating.
