---- — EDWARDSPORT — Marilyn Jane (Linneweber) Johanningsmeier, 81, passed away Monday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Marilyn was born January 7, 1932, in Knox County, the daughter of Irvin and Ilma (Groteguth) Linneweber. She married Carl Johanningsmeier on June 20, 1950, and he survives her. She was a homemaker. Marilyn and Carl owned a successful dairy farm operation, where she kept the books, with all registered widely known Holstein cattle. She was a member of the Bethel Church, Freelandville Immokalee Club, and the Christian Partners Sunday School Class. She was a very proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl; son Roger Johanningsmeier and his wife Chris of Edwardsport; daughter Carla Roberts and her husband Tony of Hampstead, N.C.; grandchildren, Ryan Johanningsmeier, Kari Johanningsmeier Preston, Jeff Johanningsmeier and his wife Kate, Olivia Adair and her husband Will, Reed Roberts and his wife Erica; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Bertha Conrad of Vincennes and Agnes Lee of Vincennes; brother Max Linneweber and his wife Vera of Washington, IN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Douglas Johanningsmeier; and brother Robert Linneweber.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bethel Church, 13673 E. St. Rd. 58, Edwardsport, IN 47528. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel Church, with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating and burial following at the Bethel Cemetery.
