SANDBORN — Ray Plano, 70, died Friday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Nov. 29, 1942, in Washington, he was the son of Henry Victor and Mamie Fern (Baker) Plano. Ray was a farmer and a Navy veteran. Surviving relatives include his wife, Diane Plano; two sons, Vic (Twila) Plano of Elnora and Matt (Crystal) Plano of Odon; four grandchildren, Logan Plano, Demitri Bruner, Kierra Bruner and Jim (Janice) Deckard; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Jordynn Deckard; one sister, Marge Price of Linton; and two brothers, Jim Plano of Mitchell and Bill Plano of Elnora. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Earl Plano. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Steve Dunkel officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
