BEDFORD — Roxana Faye (Groff Bombrisk) Osborne, 61, died at 8:27 a.m. Thursday at Westview Nursing and Rehab Center in Bedford.
Born May 6, 1952, at Stork Memorial Hospital in Huntingburg, she was the daughter of Robert “Jack” and Laura Rose (Harrawood) Groff. Roxana’s mother, Laura Rose (Harrawood) Wofford, was originally from Cannelburg. Her father, Robert “Jack” Groff lived in French Lick at his death.
She was a graduate of Dearborn High School in Michigan and was a graduate of Dale Carnegie School of motivation and was a licensed cosmetologist. Roxana loved to work in the yard and garden, and she loved flowers and could grow anything.
She also liked to draw and was very good at painting; most of her paintings were of scenery.
She is survived by her mother, Laura Rose Wofford of Wayne, Mich.; two sons, Jason R. Bombrisk of Howell, Mich, and Robert Andrew Osborne of Owensburg; one daughter, Emily Rose Osborne; one brother, John Robert “Jake” Groff and wife Mary J. Groff of Loogootee; two nephews, Shawn Groff and Kyle (Cailin) Groff; four grandchildren, Zachary Bombrisk of Owensburg, Alexandrea and Dylan Bombrisk of Howell, Mich., and Brookline Rose Osborne of Owensburg; two aunts, many cousins and lots of friends. Roxana leaves behind her beloved dog, Harley.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert “Jack” Groff.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being made through Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
