---- — BOWLING GREEN, Ind. — Marcia Ann O’Nan, 60, passed away Wednesday at her home in Bowling Green, surrounded by her loving family.
Marcia, daughter of the late LeRoy Baker and Vera Jean (Riggins) Baker, was born June 29, 1953, in Washington.
Marcia graduated from North Daviess High School in 1971 where she was a member of the band and a majorette. During her high school years, she was an active member of Job’s Daughters and of the Odon United Methodist Church. She attended Indiana State University, securing a degree in dietetics. She worked in the nutrition departments of St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville and Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. After becoming the mother of four, Marcia made her career working in retail and retail management.
Marcia is survived by her mother, Vera Jean Baker; three daughters and one son: Megan (Trenity) Shaw of Bowling Green; Tiffaney (Andrew) Hamm of Florence, Ky.; Tonya Weber of Bowling Green, and Ryan Weber of Avon; six grandchildren, Kiersten, Lynkin, Treasa, Trevor, Jayden, and Kayla; two sisters, Marla (Scott) Stevens of Brookville, and Nelda (Terry) Chestnut of Princeton. She also leaves her loving canine companion, Abbe, who held a special place in her heart.
The viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Odon United Methodist Church Friday with additional visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at the Odon United Methodist Church. Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral at the Raglesville Cemetery.
