LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Elizabeth Anne (Wilson) Cates, 51, ("Beth Wade") passed away Thursday at St. Elizabeth East Hospital. Born Sept. 28, 1961, in Washington, she was the daughter of John D. Wilson and Patricia L. (Hammett) Baker. She was a graduate of Washington High School and attended Johnson Bible College for two years. She married Larry Cates on Sept. 8, 2001, in Shawneytown, Ill., and he survives. She worked in customer service at Wal-Mart. She was a Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving with her parents and husband, are her stepfather, Fred Baker, and her two children, Jennifer R. Carie and Jordan D. Wade (wife Ashley), both of Washington; two stepbrothers, Lee Baker, Ellettsville, and Scott Baker, of Grimesland, N.C., two stepsons, Joe and Josh Cates (wife Chelsea); a brother, John S. Wilson (wife Jackie) of O’Fallon, Mo.; three grandchildren, Brayden Matthew Carie, Bryant Thomas Wade and Sophia Cates. Her grandparents, Lawrence and Anna Wilson and Sothern and Marjorie Hammett preceded her in death. Memorial visitation from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wheatland Christian Church in Wheatland. Memorial service to follow at 4:30 p.m., with Brent Cramer officiating.
