WASHINGTON — Everett R. Fox, 88, of Washington, died Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
He was born May 8, 1924, in Daviess County to Edward and Janice (Brumett) Fox.
He married his wife Verna on Nov. 23, 1949
He worked 15 years at Crane NSWC before retiring in Jan. 1975. He served as a soldier in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, daughter Marie (Joe) Auberry, Washington, three sons Dan Ray Fox, Joelton, Tenn, Edward Allen Fox, Brazil, and Andrew Lee Fox, Cobleyers, Ga., brothers Robert Fox, Fla., and Edward G. Fox, Plainville, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Gerald Fox, brother Carl Fox and sisters Kathrine McLemore and Betty Speedy.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Neeley officiating, with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
