ODON — Teddy W. Riggins, 59, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at his home.
Born March 27, 1954 in Daviess County, he was the son of James Robert and Eula (Williams) Riggins.
A member and Deacon at Odon First Christian Church, he was the owner of Riggins Excavating.
He was a past member of the Odon Lions Club and a past 4-H beef director. He loved Red Angus cattle and was a founder of the Indiana Red Angus Beef Association. He was a director of the Kentucky and Tennessee Red Angus associations.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie (Thomas) Riggins, whom he married on April 4, 1982; two sons, Sage Riggins of Odon and Matthew (Elizabeth) Riggins of Linton; a daughter, Beth Ann Riggins of Odon; three grandchildren, Alexcis, Robert and Bryce Riggins; two brothers, Travis Riggins of Lyons and Steve (Karen) Riggins of Versailes, Ky.; and four sisters, Karen (Pierre) Carlton of Indianapolis, Janice (Walter) Arnett of Washington; Bonnie Riggins of Bloomfield; and Anita (Carl) Edminston of Springsboro, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Robert Carlton.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Odon First Christian Church, Bro. Richard Crabtree officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
