INDIANAPOLIS — Frank E. Donaldson, 81, passed away Sunday.
He was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Washington, to the late Owen and Goldie (Patterson) Donaldson.
Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University, and was a civil engineer for the state of Indiana, retiring after 35 years of service. Frank was a longtime member of Post Road Christian Church, an avid golfer, and his passions were woodworking, painting and his family.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn Sue Donaldson; children, Daniel Donaldson (Carrie), Kathryn Offenbacker (David), David Donaldson (Patty) and Andrew Donaldson (Andrea); sisters, Norma Arvin and June Smith; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Donaldson; and a sister, Joyce Donaldson.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with funeral services Friday at 10 a.m.
