BRAMBLE — Barbara J. Day, 73, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at her home. Born May 28, 1938, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Barbara (Davis) Dillon. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at the former Broadway Chicken Place in Loogootee. Barbara enjoyed flowers and her dog. She is survived by her husband, James E. Day, whom she married June 2, 1956; one daughter, Brenda Hardwick of Loogootee; three sons, James Day and Bobby Day, both of Loogootee, and Danny Day of Bramble; two brothers, Larry Dillon of Washington and Jack Dillon of Shoals; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James and Edward Dillon. The body of Barbara Day was cremated and burial will be at a later date.
