GREENFIELD — Orris Ross Potts, 83, passed away Tuesday at his residence. Born April 20, 1930, in Montgomery, he was the son of Ross W. and Mary E. (Hayden) Potts. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1948. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1951-1954. Orris worked for Ford in Indianapolis for many years. He was a member of VFW Post No. 3321 in Washington and United Auto Workers. Surviving are his daughter, Phyllis Smith of Greenfield; brothers, Curtis L. (Lavone) Potts of Washington, Robert F. (Donna) Potts of Princeton, Leslie H. (Millie) Potts of Washington; sisters, Annette Bryan of Washington, Linda L. (George) Schifano of Newburg, Carol K. Ragsdale of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Ryan P. Smith, Charles E. Potts, Daniel J. Smith and Keith M. Potts. Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Ross W. Potts; brothers, Herbert W. Potts and Lowell Potts; and sister, Margaret Beadles. A graveside service will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township in Daviess County. Rev.
