ODON — Bertha E. Schreiner, 99, died at 9:05 a.m. Monday at Ketcham Memorial Center. Born Feb. 2, 1914, in Washington, she was the daughter of James E. and Earlie (Waldon) McCrary. She attended Washington High School and owned and operated Jones Petroleum. She was a member of First Christian Church of Washington and formerly paricipated in Rebecca’s Group. She is survived by a daughter, Judy (William) Parsons of Elnora; grandchildren, Connie (Randy) Bouchie, David White and Alan (Tracy) White; three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Stegmueller. Her husband, Herbert Schreiner, whom she married Aug. 6, 1966, died March 10, 1998. One son, Daniel Wilson; one sister, Helen Biddinger; and four brothers, Waldon, Walter, Sydney and Don McCrary, are also deceased. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gill Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve Dayton officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to First Christian Church. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.gillsince1872.com
