SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. — Dorothy L. Jones, 85, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday at her residence. The Washington native was a homemaker, former medical transcriptionist for General Electric, bookkeeper for DCM Cartage, member of Scottsville Baptist Church and the church Senior Citizens Group, member and former treasurer of the Allen County Ladies Club and volunteer for the Allen County War Memorial Hospital. She was a daughter of the late William Edward Blines and Lula Kemlo Blines and wife of the late William Earl “Bud” Jones. She is survived by one son, Mike Jones and Tracey Kiser of Franksville, Wis.; two daughters, Deborah S. Jones of Jamestown, Ohio, and Cathy J. Johnson and husband Ronnie of Scottsville; one sister, Jo Ellen Carrico and husband Albert of Jasper; three grandchildren, Joshua Duncan and wife Cyndi, Jessica Humphrey and husband Jason, Cathy Rookstool and husband Dennis, all of Scottsville; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Brandon, Brooklyn Duncan, Kade Humphrey, Kobe Humphrey, Dillon Rookstool and Taylor Rookstool; one great-great-granddaughter, Arianna Dodson. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Scottsville Baptist Church with Ken Goforth officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home. Visitation will then be at Scottsville Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. until funeral time. www.goadfh.com
