WASHINGTON — Frank Price, 77, of Washington, died at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday at Hillside Manor. Born June 29, 1935, in Loogootee, he was the son of Agatha (Spaulding) and Francis Price Sr. He attended St. John’s Catholic School in Loogoote and served as an Army Airborne Ranger in the Korean War. He worked at gypsum before working at Crane Naval Base for 34 years as an engineer. He had worked since 1996 for Daviess County Rural Water System reading meters and in grounds maintenance. He was a member of Montgomery Christian Church. He was a previous member of Masonic Lodge Eastern Star Chapter 210. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Elmore) Price, whom he married Sept. 15, 1956; children Mandy Price, Michael D. (Pam) Price and Tiffany S. Powers; granddaughter, Nikki Miller; great-grandchildren, Brianne Powers, Bryce Powers and Braxton Miller; two sisters, Rosemary Emily and Rheta (Clifford) Lannan. He is preceded in death by siblings, Bobby Jo Price, Rosetta Price and Edward Melton. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Gill Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Frances officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 4 p.m. Preferred memorials are to Montgomery Christian Church.
