Mary Kovaleski

March 29, 1918 - March 16, 2013

BICKNELL — Mary Josephine (Yatsko) Kovaleski, 94, passed away Saturday at her residence. Mary was born March 29, 1918, in Seelyville, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Pupkies) Yatsko. She married Lawrence “Pat” Kovaleski and he has passed. She was a clerk for Maberto Grocery Store. Mary was a member of the Bicknell First Baptist Church and W.W.M. class. Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Willis of Bicknell; sons Frank Kovaleski and his wife Jonell of Anderson, and Carl Kovaleski and his wife Vicki of Washington; grandchildren, David Willis, Robin Willis, Jeff Kovaleski, Mike Kovaleski, Erren West, Steve Kovaleski, Kristi Weger, Scott Kovaleski, and Kelly Rickert; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother Joe Maberto and his wife Kate, of Bicknell. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Lawrence Edward Kovaleski Jr.; one brother, Stanley Yatsko; one sister, Doris DeCoursey; and stepfather Joe Maberto Sr. The family will receive friends Thursday at the Bicknell First Baptist Church from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. also at the church, with Rev. Seth Alexander officiating and burial following at Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bicknell First Baptist Church or Good Samaritan Hospice.
