---- — ELNORA — Virginia M. Hastings, 88, died at 9:10 a.m. Monday at Green County Hospital.

Born June 9, 1925, in Vicksburg, Ind., she was the daughter of William T. and Mary Alice (Turk) Wilson.

She was the owner of Virginia’s Beauty Shop for 65 years from 1945 to 2010. A member of Elnora Church of Christ, she was also a charter member of White River Valley Antique Association.

She is survived by a son, Tim (Carol) Hastings of Elnora; a daughter, Nancy (John) Beach of Lyons; grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Remsburg, Anna Hastings, Joseph (Christina) Hastings, Ryan (April) Smith, Rachel (Erish) Wolters and Riley Beach; six great-grandchildren; a brother, John Phillip (Marsha) Wilson of Trafalgar; and a sister-in-law, Lena Wilson of Satuma, Ala.

Her husband, Roy Vincent Hastings, died Nov. 2, 2006. Her parents, two brothers, and one sister-in-law are also deceased.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Elnora Church of Christ, with Bro. Dan Ford officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel.
