James Bogard

WASHINGTON — James A. Bogard, 75, 1408 Cosby Road, died at his home Thursday.

Born March 17, 1935, he was the son of James D. and Ruth (Schoffstoll) Bogard.

He worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation and was a member of the Eagles lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Lional Bogard of Washington and Paul (Mary) Bogard of Olney, Ill.; two daughters, Sue Jones and Shirley Biggerstaff, both of Olney; 10 grandchildren, Adrienne Gines, Kaylee Bogard, Destinee Bogard, Annie Glosser, Brittany Glosser, Cheyenne Glosser, Tina Vincent, Mike Jones, Samatha Grubb and Bradley Bogard; 12 great-grandchildren, Becka Chance, Mackenzie Vincent, Valarie Vincent, Breanna Jones, Mary Jones, Staisha Grubb, Dylan Grubb, Ayden Grubb, Joseph Bogard, Autumn Bogard, Evelyn Bogard and Cody Bogard; four brothers, Ermal Knight of Olney, Kenneth (Mary) Bogard of Kokomo, Leroy Bogard of Hobart and Bobby Bogard of Olney; and five sisters, Mary Powers and Phyllis Coulter, both of Olney, Elena Stitch of Linton, and Edna Gaines and Linda Russell, both of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Bogard, and a sister, Leona Carrico.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home, Pastor Pete Aldrich officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
