LOOGOOTEE — Ernest Wagler, 61, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home. Born Dec. 4, 1951, in Daviess County, he was the son of Henry and Katie (Wagler) Wagler. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was one of God’s special children. He is survived by his stepmother, Hannah (Graber) Wagler of Loogootee; three brothers, Willis and wife Rachel Wagler, Hermon and wife Pauline Wagler, all of Montgomery, and Darrell and wife Rose Mary Wagler of Loogootee; four sisters, Verda and husband Glen Lengacher, Mary Catherine and husband Eugene Stoll, all of Montgomery, Ida Mae and husband John Henry Kemp and Sylvia and husband Lloyd, all of Loogootee; and a sister-in-law, Ida Mae Wagler of Loogootee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Katie Wagler, and one brother, Melvin Wagler. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Produce Building across from Dinky’s. Burial will be in Stoll Cemetery in Montgomery. Visitation is until the hour of service Thursday at the Produce Building. Arrangements are being made through Brocksmith-Blake and Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery.
