---- — INDIANAPOLIS — Wilma Jean Gorjanc, 84, passed away Sunday.

She was born in Montgomery on Nov. 8, 1928, to Melvin L. and Hazel G. (Clements) Scott.

Wilma graduated from Montgomery High School in 1946, Marion College in 1970 and received her master’s degree in 1974 from Butler University. She was an avid reader, loved playing cards, particularly bridge, traveling and she also enjoyed aerobic swimming. She taught in Wayne Township for 23 years, retiring in 1993.

She is survived by her son, Anthony M. Gorjanc; sisters, Anna Marie Grannon and Mary Jane Delong; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony M. Gorjanc Sr., who passed away in 1966, to whom she was married for 10 years; and her brother, George “Sonny” (Margaret Calvin) Scott.

Visitation will be held today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th St., Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 5301 W. 16th St., Speedway. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
