Dianna Gregory

LOOGOOTEE — Dianna Lynn Gregory, 65, died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Born March 14, 1948, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Viola (Swartz) Summers.

She was a very devout and longtime active member of the Loogootee United Methodist Church and a 1966 graduate of Loogootee High School and had also attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute. Dianna retired in 2012 from Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane and she enjoyed flowers, doing yardwork and spending time with the apple of her eye, that being her grandson.

She is survived by one son, Jason and wife Heidi Gregory of Romney; her mother, Viola Summers of Loogootee; one sister, Becky Strange of Loogootee; one brother, Richard and wife Nancy Summers of Loogootee; one grandson, Hunter Seth Gregory of Romney; five nieces and nephews, Matt and wife Liz Strange, Jacob and wife Shannon Strange, Amy and husband Christian Stevens, Aaron Summers and Ali Summers.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles F. Summers; and a brother-in-law, Lee Strange.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Loogootee United Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Loogootee.

Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at Loogootee United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Loogootee United Methodist Church.
