---- — PETERSBURG — Rebecca A. White, 29, died at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Golden Living Center in Petersburg after fighting cancer since November 2012.
Born Oct. 17, 1984, in Washington, she was the daughter of Ronald and Norma (Johnson) Warren.
She was a 2003 graduate of Shoals High School and had worked at Farbest in Huntingburg and had previously worked at F.I.A. Automotive in Vincennes and O’Reilly Auto Parts in Washington. She attended Winslow Church of the Nazarene and was an outgoing woman who loved her family very much. She was dedicated to her family and to serving the Lord. Becca enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and drawing.
She is survived by her husband, Preston White, whom she married Jan. 25, 2009; her father, Ronald Warren of Petersburg; her mother, Norma Collis of Plainville; two daughters, Chloe L. Morrison and Emily R. White, both at home; one son, Kristopher A. Murphy of Newton, Ill.; her maternal grandfather, Donald Johnson of Shoals; one sister, Ashley Lynne Zapata of Hutto, Texas; and one brother, Carl Ray Burns of Plainville.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Shirley Johnson; and her paternal grandparents, Max and Patricia Warren.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family through the funeral home.
