ODON — ODON — Kevin Paul Sweckard, 36, died Sunday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
Born June 24, 1977, in Fort Knox, Ky., he was the son of Paul and Virginia (Prokopiak) Sweckard.
Kevin was a 1995 graduate of Central Harden High School in Elizabethtown, Ky. He was a welder in Henderson, Ky., and had formerly worked at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble and was a fourth degree member of the Loogootee Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Sweckard of Odon; his fiancee, Crystle Robinson of Evansville; two sons, Tyler and Weston Sweckard of Elizabethtown; and one sister, Regina Sweckard of Odon.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Sweckard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, with a K of C memorial service at 6 p.m.
