Published November 06, 2009 11:25 pm - LINTON — North Daviess appeared to possibly have matters well in hand late in the third quarter during Friday night’s Class A Sectional 40 championship game at Linton.
The Cougars were looking strong after the game moved to the fourth and in position to score for a 17-point lead. But the host Miners had other plans. The result was another heart-breaker for North Daviess on the Greene County school’s field and only the second setback of the year for the Cougars. Unfortunately, the 28-24 decision with Linton on top ended a sterling year for the Cougars and sent the Miners on to regional action.
