Lady Hatchets fall to Memorial



EVANSVILLE — The Washington Lady Hatchets suffered their first loss of the season with a 71-43 defeat at Class 3A No. 3 Evansville Memorial on Thursday.

Washington (2-0) got 12 points from sophomore guard Payton Shake and eight points from junior forward Olivia Brashear against Memorial (2-0).

The junior varsity game was closer but still went Memorial’s way 41-32. Mikala Barber led WHS with eight points, followed by Claire Hatton with six.
