Ryan Paul Michael and Rebecca Lynn Okray were united in marriage June 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Evansville. Deacon David Mayer officiated the ceremony.

Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Michael. The parents of the bride are Michael Okray and Cindy Okray. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Christena Jones of Montgomery and the late Paul Jones and the late Jonathan and Bernice Michael. Grandparents of the bride are Kenneth and Lillian Cervenka and Rita Okray and the late Anthony Okray.

The maid of honor was Julie Waters of Evansville. Bridesmaids were Rachel Camp, Jessica Okray, Hannah Okray and Angel Okray, sisters of the bride.

Weston Michael, brother of the bridegroom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Ben Trousdale; Eric Miller, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Darin Hornaday, cousin of the bridegroom; and Michael Okray, brother of the bride. Ushers were Terry Jones and Billy Whitehead.

Readers were Kristy Miller, sister of bridegroom, and Toy Widmer. Soloist was Annette Gries, and organist was Paul Schutz. The bride’s personal attendants and program and guest book attendants were Lea Erwin, Yuri Dozier, Meagan Anderson, Katrina Roach and Elizabeth Arnold.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a white chiffon strapless full gown with a laced-up back and semi-cathedral train.

She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.

Following the ceremony, the wedding party rode in a limousine to the riverfront for pictures and then to the reception at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Evansville for a dinner dance.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Oregon-Davis High School in Hamlet and 2006 graduate of the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She is employed as a drug and alcohol counselor at Stepping Stones in Evansville. She will begin working on her master’s degree at the University of Louisville in the fall.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Washington High School and 2004 graduate of the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as an engineer at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Princeton.

After a honeymoon to Aruba, the couple now resides in Montgomery.
