Sabrina Watts of Oak Park, Mich., and Micah Powell of Omaha, Neb., were married at 4:30 p.m. June 28 at the Monroe City First Church of God by the Rev. Mark Nielson.
The bride is the daughter of Vikki Watts of Hazel Park, Mich., and Kevin Watts of Lincolnton, N.C. Her grandmother is Marie Medlin of Oak Park.
Parents of the bridegroom are Joe and Nancy Powell of Wheatland. His grandparents are the late Bill and Minnie Harrison and the late Pete and Norma Powell, all of Monroe City.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Bill Medlin of Santa Clarita, Calif.
Pianist and organist was Sharon Carie of Washington. Vocalist was Rebecca Miller of Monroe City.
Matron of honor was the bride’s aunt, Sue Medlin of Santa Clarita.
Matt Powell of Monroe City, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man.
Ushers were Paul Roark of Sumner, Ill., cousin of the bridegroom, Chad Tevebaugh and Dick Hall, both of Vincennes, and Paul Flint of Washington.
Flower girl was Alexis Ravellette of Evansville, cousin of the bridegroom, and ring bearer was Jake Powell of Monroe City, nephew of the bridegroom.
Guests were registered by Peggy Harrison of Monroe City, aunt of the bridegroom.
Programs were distributed by Beth Wagner of Zionsville and Marcie Mayall of Monroe City, cousins of the bridegroom. Bird seed distributors were Megan Wagner of Zionsville and Kendall Mayall of Monroe City, cousins of the bridegroom.
Wedding hostess was Rhonda Dreiman of Monroe City and floral distributor was Donna Roark of Sumner, both cousins of the bridegroom.
A buffet dinner and dance reception was held at the Moose Lodge. Servers and gift attendants were Donna Roark of Sumner, Beth Wagner of Zionsville and Marcie Mayall of Monroe City, all cousins of the bridegroom.
The couple traveled to Orlando, Fla., for their honeymoon.
Mrs. Powell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich. She teaches second grade at Tara Heights Elementary School in the Papillion La Vista Public School district.
