Jennifer Lynn Mead and Christopher Alan Nettles were married June 14 by Father Gordon Mann at St. Simon’s Catholic Church.
The bride is the daughter of Peter and Sharon Mead of Washington. Grandparents of the bride include Francis and Dorothy Schmitt of Poseyville and Polly Mead of Washington.
The bridegroom is the son of Charlie and Brenda Nettles of Freelandville. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Milton and Joyce Telligman of Freelandville. A candle was lit in memory of the late grandparents of the bride and bridegroom, Marvin Mead and James and Maxine Nettles.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Washington High School and a 2007 graduate of Purdue University majoring in landscape horticulture and design.
She now works at River Valley Horticultural Products in Little Rock, Ark., where the couple now resides.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of North Knox High School and a 2007 graduate of Purdue University majoring in fisheries and aquatic science.
The matron of honor was Kristin Ferguson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Joyce Bolinger, Heidi Lescun and Katie Windes.
Best man was Evan Telligman, cousin of the bridegroom.
Groomsmen included Eric Nettles, Ryan Marczak and Alex Kixmiller. Ushers were Rhen Schmitt and Jason Rainey.
Elsa Telligman was the miniature bride, Abram Telligman was the ring bearer and Taylor Ferguson was the flower girl.
Music was provided by organist Larry Knabble and vocalists were Tom Schmitt and Jessica Bruder. Peggy Reeve, Kim Reeve Delong and Oscar Delong greeted the guests and handed out programs.
The first reading was read by Susan Mead and the second reading was read by Anna Telligman.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Moose Lodge in Washington.
The cake cutters at the reception were Cindy Nordike, Sandy Hughes and Kim Rainey, all aunts of the bridegroom.
The couple will honeymoon in December in Hawaii.
