Holly Diane Yourgans of Bloomington, Ill., and formerly of Washington, became the bride of Curtis Lee Miller of Paxton, Ill., in a double ring ceremony with Rev. B. Jacobson officiating.
The autumn wedding took place in St. John’s Chapel at Oak Hill Farm in Apple River, Ill., on Sept. 27, 2013 The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Yourgans of Washington, was given in marriage by her father. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Miller of Homer, Ill.
Following the exchange of vows, cocktail/appetizers were served on the Barn House lawn overlooking the lake with a dinner/dance following in the wedding tent.
The bride wore a jasmine gown of taffeta fashioned with sequins covering the bodice and then swirling around to a chapel-length train. She wore an elbow-length veil. She carried a bouquet of autumn flowers.
The traditional “something old, something new” was carried out.
Lori (Memering) DeWall was the matron of honor and Alayna Miller, daughter of the bridegroom, was the bridesmaid.
The best man was David Kaeding and Caden Miller, son of the bridegroom, was the groomsman.
The bride is a graduate of Washington Catholic High School and Ball State University, Muncie, with a Bachelor of Science accounting degree. She is employed with State Farm Insurance Corporate South in Bloomington, Ill., as a financial business analyst.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Homer High School and MacMurray College, Jacksonville, Ill., with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice.
He is employed as a lieutenant deputy sheriff with the Ford County Sheriff’s office in Illinois.
They are now residing in Gibson City, Ill.
