Clay Earl Robinson

March 24, 1981 - May 30, 2013

OTWELL — Clay Earl Robinson, 95, Otwell, passed away Thursday at Amber Manor in Petersburg.

He was born March 24, 1918 in Daviess County to Earl Robinson and Mary (Gilly) Robinson. Clay was a graduate of Washington High School and served in the Air Force during WWII.

On Oct. 20, 1939, he married Helen Perkins Robinson. She passed away on Oct. 20, 1987. 

He retired from Naval Avionics in Indianapolis.

Clay is preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother Jack Robinson, and son Terry Robinson.

Surviving are his son Larry (Diana) Robinson of Franklin, Ind., grandchildren Gary Robinson of Franklin, Ind., Curt Robinson of Indianapolis, Matthew Robinson of Mooresville, Ind., and Mark Robinson of Greenwood, Ind. Seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild as well as one sister, Virginia Mock of Whiteland, Ind., one brother Gene Robinson of Wheatland, Ind., former companion Inez Robinson of Otwell, daughter in law Avalon Robinson of Greenwood, Ind., and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at East Union Cemetery with Pastor Steve Dayton officiating. There will be no visitation. Condolences can be made to the family online at
