Evans pleas guilty to murder

Logan Evans, 18, Washington, pled guilty to murder in the shooting of Devan Burris, 17, in Daviess Superior Court Tuesday.

According to the plea agreement signed by Evans on Monday, he will serve 45 years in the state Department of Corrections, if Judge Dean Sobecki accepts the agreement.

Evans is scheduled to be sentenced on March 27.

Michael Chestnut, attorney for accused conspirator Lucas Benjamin, said Wednesday his client has been offered a plea agreement by the Daviess County Prosecutor's Office and needed to confer with his client.
