Police Reports



7:27 a.m. - Police received a report from Chuckles at 201 N.E. Fifth St. that someone just drove off without paying for $55.03 in gas.

9:07 a.m. - A resident at 505 Jefferson Street reported someone slashed all four tires on her vehicle.



6:20 p.m. - A caller on First Street in Elnora reported a breaking and entering. A shot gun, box of shells and two pocket knives were taken.

9:16 a.m. - A caller on Troy Road reported a truck going down the road at a high rate of speed and a male subject was staggering down the road. Officers discovered the truck had ran off the road into a field and was stuck in the mud. The owner of the property pulled the vehicle out.



9:50 a.m. - A caller on SR 57 and U.S. 50 reported a personal injury accident. Tim Gregory, 60, Washington, was driving his 2001 Dodge Dakota when when he struck the 1999 Mercury Sable driven by Sharon Keneipp, 46, Vincennes. Damage was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000.

6:34 a.m. - An accident was reported on Sunnyside Road involving a pickup and a semi. Scott Marvel, 43, Terre Haute, had fallen asleep at the wheel and his 2008 Chevy Avalanche hit a 2002 Freightliner owned by MaCallister Machinery that was being operated by Mark McCracken, 54, Washington. McCracken was not injured but Marvel was taken to Daviess Community Hospital complaining of pain to his entire body. Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.


Stephanie Marlowe, 31, Linton, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for petition to revoke suspended sentence. Bond was set at $2,000.

Christopher Gluck, 46, was arrested Wednesday by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Bond was set at $4,000.
