No one in fight willing to press charges

CITY REPORT

Wednesday

5:39 a.m. - Kasey Martinez, 575 S. Meridian St., reported a scooter stolen. A suspect was named.

2:18 a.m. - Christie Burchell, 1510 Vincennes Ave., said a tree fell on the road in front of her home and other people had placed the tree in her driveway. The street department was notified.

COUNTY REPORT

Tuesday

8:28 p.m. - A caller reported a fight involving three individuals in Odon. An ambulance was called for two people, but were eventually not needed. All the subjects did not want to press charges or give statements.

5:49 p.m. - An employee of Fast Max, Elnora, caught a juvenile shoplifter. The shoplifter was released to the custody of parents.

COUNTY ACCIDENTS

Sunday

7:34 a.m. - Taylor A. Kavanaugh, 20, 33 Coronado Drive, was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram truck west on CR 300N, when he told deputies he fell asleep and ran off the road and overturned. There were no injuries and damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.

Saturday

5:42 p.m. - Gary G. Maxwell, 60, Bloomington, was riding a 1992 AMF motorcycle on Interstate 69 near mile marker 71 when a thunderstorm knocked him and a passenger off the road and off the motorcycle. The passenger was not injured, but Maxwell was taken to Daviess Community Hospital and later Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.

4:35 a.m. - Beau D. Gregory, 23, Loogootee, was driving a 2008 Jeep Wrangler east on CR 700S when he ran off the road, hitting a mailbox and eventually overturning. Greg reported pain to his lower leg and damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000.

2:05 a.m. - Adam H. Russell, 25, Petersburg, was driving a 1994 Chrysler Concorde north on SR 57 when he ran off the road and hit a guard rail on the Pike County side of the White River bridge.

He then left the scene of the accident and was found in Daviess County. Russell was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement in Pike County and leaving the scene of a property damage accident in Daviess County. No one was injured and damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
