The Daviess Community Auxiliary Board met Feb. 10 at the hospital. The meeting was called to order by Bill Whitehead, president. Chaplain W.P. Norris gave the opening prayer. Pledge of allegiance was led by Donna Keller, vice president.
Shawna O’Kelley-Brinson, RN, obstetrics director, thanked the auxiliary for purchasing the bilometer for her department and demonstrated the non-invasive use for infant care. Angie Steiner, director of business development and physician recruitment, passed out invitations for the Donor Wall Celebration, Wednesday, Feb. 12, from The Lohano Center for Advanced Medicine and announced the Women’s Health Fair to be held Thursday, Feb. 27, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The auxiliary is recognized on the donor wall for their contribution.
The minutes of the Jan. 13 meeting were read by Bill Harder, secretary. The financial report was given by Margaret Colbert, treasurer
Rossine Foddrill, membership/recruitment reported a new applicant has gone through orientation. The Auxiliary is constantly looking for dedicated people who would like to give back to the community by serving others. Applications are available at the information desk in the hospital lobby.
Mary Jo Vonderschmitt, timekeeper, reported 46 volunteers donated 948 hours during the month of January.
Mary Meyer, ways and means, handed out the fundraiser schedule for 2020. Jasper Gift Basket and Popcorn will be March 17. Heartland Uniforms will be March 31. Proceeds from the Auxiliary sales are used to donate to the hospital for various needs.
Other committee reports were given. The meeting closed with prayer by W.P. Norris.
