Ouabache Trails Park, just north of Vincennes, Indiana, is home to a number of fern species with a surprising variety of forms. Learn to recognize the ferns in the park, and learn more about ferns in general, during the June 9 Fern Foray. Meet local Naturalist Terri Talarek King at 2 p.m. Eastern at the Sacajawea Shelterhouse (at the back of the park's lower loop road) to begin the Foray. The walk is planned for lower and upper Trail 7. If that trail is not accessible, the walk will start on Trail 6 and continue on other trails. Participants should be prepared for muddy or wet areas, as well as slopes. Magnifying lenses are good to bring, also.

The Fern Foray is part of the Second Sunday Nature Exploration Walk series for 2019, all at Ouabache Trails Park. The walks are free and do not require registration. All ages are welcome, and families encouraged.
