German American presented a check for $10,000 to the Martin County Community Foundation as part of a commitment to 13 community foundations throughout southern Indiana. These funds will be matched by the Lilly Endowment Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) initiative, which will grow the Martin County contribution to a total of $30,000.00.

According to Kenny Frye, regional executive vice president, business development for German American, “We have worked with the foundation for many years and we appreciate all they do to lead in collaboration with others to meet the community’s most pressing needs and opportunities. German American is proud to support the Martin County Community Foundation with this donation.”

“Building permanent, charitable resources that will impact the current and future needs of the communities we serve takes thoughtfulness and vision. We sincerely appreciate German American’s generous investment in Lawrence and Martin counties via the Community Foundation Partnership,” commented Hope Flores, CEO, Community Foundation Partnership, Inc.

Through German American’s donation, 13 community foundations throughout southern Indiana will be awarded $10,000 each, including direct contributions to Monroe, Lawrence, Martin and Dubois counties’ Community Foundations, as well as Daviess, Gibson, Knox, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Warrick and Vanderburgh through the Community Foundation Alliance.
