Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lancaster
Ronald Sylvester and Julie Vitale Lancaster have celebrated 50 years of marriage. They were married at the First Baptist Church in Reading, Mass., on Feb. 16, 1963. Rev. Jack Cavanaugh officiated and their attendants were Fanny Vitale Arena, matron of honor, Neil MacDonald, best man, Judy Boynton, bridesmaid, Jack Leonard and David Vitale, users, Pamela Vitale, flower girl, Chris Arena, ring bearer.
Ronald worked as a district manager for Melville Corporation. Prior to this he was employed in his father’s company, Terminal Stationary. Ronald served in the Marine Corps during the Korean conflict.
Julie taught elementary school in Wakefield, Mass., and later taught a work study program in Huntington, Ind. She received her master’s degree in 1993 and was a mental health counselor for 12 years. She currently volunteers and does substitute teaching.
Ronald and Julie are the parents of Todd Lancaster of Washington and Jennifer Lancaster of Lake Forest, Ill.
They have three grandchildren.
The couple celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner and a trip to Guadalajara, Mexico.
