At the first meeting of 2020, the Montgomery Town Council appointed Doug Meiring to replace council member Deron Steiner.
Steiner announced his resignation at the December town board meeting.
“I would like to thank Deron Steiner for his leadership and service to the Town of Montgomery all these years, credit goes to Deron and our current administration for leading our community to where it is today.” said Meiring. “The Town of Montgomery is a great place to live. We have become a destination community, where families want to live and raise their children. Within our community we have quite the combination, outstanding leaders from the private sector and a top-notch school with great teachers at Barr-Reeve. We also have a wealth of citizens who put volunteerism and the betterment of the community as a priority in their lives. I’m proud to be a resident of Montgomery and will do my best to be a part of the growth and prosperity here for years to come.”
Meiring, an insurance agent for ONI Risk Partners lives in Montgomery with his wife Kristi and two sons.
