Freshmen Lady Hatchets beat NK

BICKNELL — The Washington Lady Hatchets freshmen team beat North Knox in overtime, 31-27, on the road Tuesday. Chloe Browning, 12 points, and Emma Dant, 10 points, led the scoring for Washington.

Taylor Walls added four while Elle Stowers and Sydney Melton each had two and Olivia Devine had one.

Lady Vikings 7th and 8th win on the road

FRENCH LICK — The junior high Lady Vikings picked up a pair of road wins over Springs Valley Tuesday.

The seventh grade won its first game of the season, 23-12. Scoring was led by Olivia Emmons and Hannah Bledsoe with nine each. The team now moves to 1-5.

In the eighth grade game, the Lady Vikings won 38-28 and were led by Emily Hawkins with 14 and Willow Thompson with 13. The eighth grade is now 5-1 and will play North Knox Monday.

B-R 5th/6th down SK

The Barr-Reeve fifth and sixth grade boys defeated South Knox on Tuesday. The fifth grade (4-0), won 42-8 while the sixth grade ( 2-2) won 31-20.

Leading scorers for the fifth grade were Carson Yoder with 11, Daniel Underwood with six and Miller Thompson with five.

In the sixth grade game, Korben Boyd tallied 10 followed by Levi Lester with seven and Copeland Gish with four.
