The Vincennes State Historic Sites will be hosting Christmas At The Tavern on Dec. 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will occur at the Jefferson Academy building on the main site for The Vincennes State Historic Sites (1 West Harrison Street, on the corner of First Street and Harrison Street, next to Vincennes University). The program will include a meal, drinks and a presentation. The cost is $30 per person. Adults 21 years of age and older only.
“This is a fun way to combine the Christmas season, history, and good food,” says Vincennes State Historic Sites Program Developer Jon Mays.
Step back in time and enjoy Christmas at a Frontier Tavern. “Jefferson Tavern” to be exact during the time of the Indiana Territory. The tavern will be filled with the sights, smells, and sounds of Christmas. A full meal with drinks will be the center of the event. These menu choices will reflect the experience of the frontier tavern during the holiday season. Before and during the meal, guests will be treated to live holiday music and a special presentation about the history of Christmas in the area. Limited seating. Get your tickets now.
