An ongoing investigation in Martin County ended with the arrest of four people on drug charges Sunday afternoon. The Martin County Sheriff’s Department reports they raided the mobile home of Eddie J. Cundiff, 60, Loogootee, after receiving a warrant for suspected drug activity.

“Our deputies had been conducting surveillance on the Cundiff residence for some time,” said Martin County Sheriff Travis Roush.

Deputies report that when they served the search warrant at the home, they recovered more than one gram of methamphetamine and around seven grams of marijuana at the home. That led to the arrest of Cundiff on charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Three other people at the residence at the time of the raid were also arrested. Chadwick Funk, 40, Ferdinand, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance. David Baugh, 18, Loogootee, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance. And Amy Moffit, 36, Shoals. Was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.

All four were being held without bond.

“This was just the result of doing good, old-fashioned police work,” said Roush. “Doing the surveillance and listening to the good guys in the community is what made this happen. Just doing those fundamental things is what resulted in this arrest.”
