Scott Arthur is the newest member of the Washington Community Schools Board. He will fill out the remainder of the late Steve Bouchie's term. Bouchie passed away last month.

Washington Community Schools is pleased to announce that Scott Arthur has

been appointed to the school board seat left vacant by the passing of long time member Steve

Bouchie. Arthur is a local farmer who has served on the Daviess-Martin Farm Service Agency’s

County Committee for the past eight years; five of those as Committee Chair. He was also recently

selected to serve on the Daviess County Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Arthur has also been active in supporting Washington Community Schools. He and his wife are

both graduates of Washington Community Schools, as well as their three children. For the past eight

years he has been an active member of the Washington Band Boosters Association, serving as

treasurer for the past six years. Through work with the band boosters and the band program he has

become acquainted with and worked with several of the coaches, teachers, and administrators of the

school system.

“I hope my reputation as a volunteer and organizer show my passion for Washington Community

Schools. I pledge to continue that service and passion for our school system,”  Arthur said.
